Statement about professional experience

I have worked in the mental health field for 10 years with both adults and children in community based and school based settings. Additionally, I have been able to provide clinical supervision to new therapists for 2 years. I am trained in TF-CBT, EMDR, and CBITS. I have enjoyed the work I’ve spent with children and adolescents the most over the years because they bring challenge, uniqueness, and resilience to the therapy room. I approach my work with a client centered and trauma informed methodology. I believe everyone has potential and hope for a healthy future. My work in the last few years at the ALC level has brought a variety of experiences to my door. It is amazing to see the resilience these students have and the potential for growth. I look forward to each and every session with my clients as I get to see them as their most authentic, human, selves.

Hobbies

I am an avid crafter. I’m recently getting into fiber arts with learning to crochet, knit, and cross stitch. I also love to paint with a variety of mediums but mostly with acrylic and watercolor. My biggest obsession is Harry Potter and I love to incorporate the positive messages and lessons from his story into my work as a therapist.
