People Incorporated’s Brittany Kearn Receives MSSA Region Outstanding Staff Achievement Award

Nov 4, 2021

Brittany KearnWe’re pleased to announce that Brittany Kearn, a Case Manager II within our Project SAIL program, is a Minnesota Social Service Association (MSSA) Metro Region Chapter 2021 Outstanding Staff Achievement Award recipient. The award honors professionals from the health and human service field who routinely demonstrate consistent, outstanding service to their clients, colleagues, and workplace. In addition, the award recognizes those who go above and beyond their required duties, displaying an ongoing commitment to the health and human service field.

Amanda Abrahamson from Ramsey County Workforce Solutions nominated Kearn for the award.

“I work very closely with Amanda for a mutual client,” Kearn adds. “I’m humbled that she nominated me, and it’s an honor to receive this award and be recognized.”

Kearn’s dedication to her clients was evident in her nomination letter, which stated she provides “personalized services and focused attention to their needs.” And it’s not only how she serves her clients but how she works with her colleagues that stood out. Her nomination letter described her as “sincere, authentic, and a pleasure to work with.”

Kearn works with clients who are part of our adult case management program in the Twin Cities metro. She helps individuals experiencing homelessness and other mental health challenges connect to housing, mental health treatment and other community services by working with landlords, making calls to shelters, locating resources, and networking with other organizations and professionals to ensure their needs are met.

“I care deeply about my clients and I do what I can to support them,” says Kearn. “Because a lot of my clients are experiencing homelessness, among other challenges with mental health, being there for them when they need it most is a must. Mental health care and basic needs, such as housing, should be accessible to all. I’m proud to play a role in helping reduce barriers and create greater access.”
